HotLine Tractor and Trailer in Oktoberfest Parade
Born in Munich in the 19th century, Oktoberfest first made its way to La Crosse in 1961. What started as a simple community event has turned into decades of tradition and good, old-fashioned fun. When Katelyn Camling of Trane asked if Hot Line was interested in donating a tractor, trailer, and a driver for the parade, Hot Line said heck yes! “Being a part of the community is important to us,” says Rob Burgmeier, President of Hot Line Freight.
The Maple Leaf Parade started at 10 a.m., beginning at Clinton Street and moving through downtown to King Street. The parade featured Oktoberfest royalty, local marching bands, and businesses, and musical performances. Viewers were able to setup along the parade route at midnight!
